The VIK tasting
A guided flight through the Millahue wines, their character and their vintages.
VIK brings the character of Millahue to every table in José Ignacio through guided tastings, pairings and the stories behind each vintage.
The wines connect the Chilean valley with the kitchens and tables of Vik José Ignacio. They are poured with food, discussed without ceremony and opened wherever the day ends.
Each experience can be arranged from Estancia Vik, Playa Vik or Bahía Vik.
VIK was created in Millahue, in the Cachapoal Valley: a vineyard born in the foothills of the Andes, named “Lugar de Oro”, the Golden Place, by the Mapuche people. Of its 4,300 hectares of Chilean wilderness, more than 327 are vines, in twelve valleys each with its own micro-climate.

Designed by the Chilean architect Smiljan Radic after an international competition in 2007. Its roof gives the impression of an enormous sleek white wing suspended over the underground structure; a sloping plaza of running water leads to it.

The barrel room ends in a wall painted by Eduardo Cardozo with his interpretation of the strata of the terroir. The wines age in new and used French oak, made by the winemaker Cristian Vallejo.

VIK The icon. Elegant and complex, intense but fresh: a blend reminiscent of Bordeaux, with an extraordinary ability to evolve.
VIK “A” The way into the world of VIK: it seduces with a distinctive minerality and a unique silkiness on the palate.
La Piu Belle The goddess of Millahue. Voluptuous, complex, intense, elegant and fresh: a timeless reflection of the beauty of nature.
La Piu Belle Rosé Energetic and elegant: the energy of the vines and the power of the grapes in a rosé blend, fruit-forward, with a dry finish.
La Piu Belle Champagne The first Champagne from a Chilean winery: a Chardonnay-led Cuvée Millésime 2009, twelve years in chalk cellars, with a label of gold leaf.
Milla Cala A blend that pays homage to the meeting of the new and the old world: irresistible character, expressive fruit and a lingering elegance.
Stonevik A natural wine created in nature by nature: aged in amphorae of the property’s clay, semi-buried at the highest peak of VIK Park.
Omega An elegant blend that shows the personality of Carmenère, with soft, velvety tannins; Cabernet gives it structure and Syrah delicate blue tones.
