A person,
within a day
Four direct lines and no call centre behind any of them. Whichever one you write to, the reply comes from somebody who has stood in the room you are asking about.
Four addresses, and the right one matters
They reach different desks. Sending an event to reservations or a table to the events team is the one thing that reliably slows an answer down.
The person who plans it is included
Every booking comes with one, at no cost and without asking. They arrange the transfers, the tables, the horses and the hour you actually want to arrive, and they answer before you travel, not on the day.
A Journey Designer answers.
Five ways in, and one of them is a boat
Transfers from any of these are arranged before you land. Send the flight number and somebody is waiting with your name on a board rather than an app notification.
The houses, the airport and the road between
Touch a name to fly the map. The satellite view is the honest one: it shows how short the distances actually are once you are on this coast.
The questions that come up
01Booking and cancellation
Reservations are confirmed through Bookassist, with PayPal accepted for the José Ignacio properties. Cancellation terms vary by season and by property: peak season carries a longer notice period. The direct rate is the best available, and the Journey Designer is included in it.
02Check-in and check-out
Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 12:00. Early arrival and late departure can usually be arranged. Ask before travelling rather than on the day, because in January the room genuinely may not be free.
03Which house should we book
Bahía for families and company, Playa for couples and privacy, Estancia for horses, space and the whole of the rest of the year. If that has not settled it, the chooser lays the three cases side by side and a Journey Designer will simply tell you.
04Can I use the other houses
Yes. Dining, wellness, the horses, the collection and the venue are open to guests of any of the three, and the transfers between them are arranged for you. Where you sleep changes the holiday; it does not fence it in.
05Children and families
Estancia Vik and Bahía Vik are the most family-oriented. Share children’s ages before arrival so the rooms, the riding and the dining are arranged around them rather than adjusted on the day.
06When to come
December and January are full and social. February is the long-day summer. March is warm, empty and the month people who live here prefer. From April the coast quietens and the countryside becomes the reason to travel.
07Pets
Considered case by case. Ask before booking rather than after.
08Accessibility
Accessible accommodation is available at selected properties, and the terrain differs a great deal between the dunes, the point and the countryside. Tell us what you need and we will match you to the right house and the right room, not the nearest one.
