A living collection
Contemporary Uruguayan art transforms suites and shared spaces: Clever Lara’s painted ceiling, Carlos Musso’s garden chapel and Marcelo Legrand’s work at El Asador.

Architecture, landscape and contemporary art are part of the stay. Every room is a commission; every building responds to its horizon.

Carrie and Alex Vik invited artists, architects and makers to create work for each room and each landscape. The result is a living collection experienced through light, texture, scale and daily life.
Guests sleep inside the commissions, walk through them and see them change from morning to sunset.

Carlos Ott’s central Sculpture brings glass, titanium and bronze into dialogue with the Atlantic. Pablo Atchugarry’s bronze entrance door introduces the collection.
Individually conceived suites and bungalows combine artworks, materials and objects with the changing light of the dunes.
