Legrand creates a powerful dialogue between organic warmth and sharp geometry. The floor is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, composed of thousands of end-grain wood blocks set in a mesmerizing mosaic.
This grounding texture contrasts beautifully with the ceiling, where chaotic, sharp-edged sculptures hang like suspended drawings in space, adding a sense of dynamism.
Immersive Abstraction. In this Master Suite, art is not merely decoration; it is the environment itself. The expansive volume of the room is anchored by the dark, textured floor and the imposing stone fireplace.
Legrand’s intervention disrupts the colonial architecture with modern, aggressive lines, transforming the suite into a habitable sculpture where the guest becomes part of the composition.
The details reveal Legrand’s intimate creative process. Shelves display a curated collection of smaller works: sculptural assemblages and framed sketches that showcase his signature “nervous” line work.
These fragments act as a library of forms, inviting the viewer to examine the raw emotion and energy captured in every scribbled gesture and twisted piece of matter.
