A joyful explosion of color and kitsch aesthetics, featuring whimsical murals that celebrate happiness and playful iconography.
Barea brings an explosion of color to the Estancia, breaking the traditional mold with his signature Neo-Pop style. The details reveal a fearless use of saturated acrylics: electric blues, sunny yellows and vivid greens.
His brushstrokes simulate the movement of water and wind, creating a texture that is both plastic and organic, reminiscent of a graphic novel come to life.
A Whimsical Narrative. Entering this suite is like stepping inside a joyful, illustrated storybook. The walls are wrapped in a continuous 360-degree mural that features mythical creatures and local fauna reimagined through Barea’s playful lens.
Barea’s work is deeply influenced by “kitsch” aesthetics and irony. The murals are dotted with symbolic imagery, including a depiction of a hand holding a pen, perhaps a nod to the act of creation itself.
The juxtaposition of the modern art against the rustic wooden floors creates a dynamic tension, transforming the suite into a gallery of contemporary Uruguayan expression.
