Badaró Suite
A volumetric exploration of architecture featuring “precious scars,” gold leaf, and accumulated objects that turn walls into a living skin.
Badaró treats the room’s architecture like a living skin. Instead of hiding structural fissures, he highlights them with gold and silver leaf, a nod to the Japanese art of Kintsugi.
These “Precious Scars” are juxtaposed with fragments of colorful resin and glass, turning the walls into a canvas of healing and memory.
The serenity of the white adobe walls is interrupted by a dynamic burst of color above the bed. This assemblage of found objects creates a sense of kinetic energy.
A chromatic explosion. It is a playful disruption, suggesting that creativity is bursting through the very fabric of the building.
The suite features illuminated glass niches that serve as windows into Badaró’s pieces. Inside, intricate collections of miniature figures and recycled artifacts create tiny, chaotic worlds.
These illuminated dioramas invite the guest to pause and discover a hidden narrative within the walls.
In this suite, the walls speak, sometimes whispering through gold-filled cracks, other times shouting with an explosion of color. It is an invitation for the guest to look closer and find the extraordinary in the ordinary.
